Valuedopinions.com Complaint - Valuedopinions.com is a scam

Review by pippaK on 2010-12-04
I made the mistake of giving them my email address when I was looking for online coupons, which they ended up not delivering after all. They just sold my email address and I'm getting over 10 spam emails a day in my inbox. Spam filter is working pretty well; however, their welcome email offered a link to unsubscribe. I have tried unsubscribing 3 or 4 times with no success. Emails to the company's customer service are ignored since they have not bothered responding. The goal is to get your email address and maybe have you do some surveys from which they probably profit elsewhere. AVOID.

To those who say I'm addressing the wrong site, you are mistaken. I searched for coupon codes and the valued opinions site offered information for subscribers but I had to fill out a form for a chance to win an iPad which I didn't want. I counted on the iPad giveaway being bogus but I guess I didn't expect the deluge of spam. (And there was no legitimate coupon information after all that.)

Anyone that has signed up on this site must have also been inundated with spam email. I can take care of that but, to those considering signing up, do your research before you give them your info and create an alternate email address. Keep in mind they sign people up on false pretenses and sell their email addresses.

Many of these 'opinion survey' sites do make their money off of selling your e-mail address. Try setting up a separate e-mail address for surveys, coupons, etc. so if you do get spam it won't interfere with your personal/business e-mail.

What? Valued opinions is a survey site where you fill out surveys and are credited points you can use towards gift cards. I actually just redeemed a 20 dollar amazon gift card yesterday. I dont know whatyou are talking about coupons. Valued opinions does not give you coupons at all. Either you got the wrong company, or someone is pretending to be them.
