Highmark Freedom Blue Complaint - Prior Authorization Scam

Highmark admits that there are thousand and thousands of services that require prior approval and that they share this information with there providers on a daily basis but they WILL NOT provide it to their customers. This means you can be denied coverage or have to pay for any number of thousand and thousands of services. It also means that you do not know what may not be covered and can not adequately compare this plan to other plans.

And finally because you do not know when prior authorization is required, if your provider makes a mistake and doesn't get your appoint for a service might be canceled when you show up without it.
