Home Depot Complaint - Sink colapses after Home Depot install faucet
Recently had a Home Depot sub contractor install a new faucet. I should have installed it myself but just did not have time. We also have an instant hot water faucet which is plumbed into the same hot water supple. They decided there was something wrong with this so the contractor turned off the hot water supply. Turns out he did not turn it off all the way. When my wife left the house all seemed fine, but when I arrived home a couple of hours later the sink (an under counter design) had colapsed and there was water everywhere. It would seem the hot water was still on and had leaked into the sink filling it up until it collapsed. The worst part is that because we are dealing with Home Depot and a sub contractor we have to involve insurance adjusters and wait up to 90 days to get resolved. Next time I will go with a contractor directly, someone who will come out right away and put it right. Stay away from Home Depot their customer service sucks.
