General Motors Complaint - Documented head failure problem
I bought a new 2006 Silverado extended cab 4wd pick-up truck. At just passed 50,000 miles, I had a coolant loss problem I couldn't put my finger on. No trace of coolant on the ground. So I figured it had to be using it (going out the tail pipe) or going into the crank case. So, I started doing research on the web about other cases of coolant in the engine oil. Well, it turns out GM has documented the problem in one of there publications. But, had I not had the Majorgaurd extended warranty, I would have been out of pocket for the repairs,($3500.00) though this problem with there heads has been well documented. I'm so mad I can't see. I think GM should recall every 5.3 V-8 and address the problem. They have been given bailout money and in my opinion customer confidence is at an all time low. GM has more than financial problems. After this incident, I am DONE with GM. And I'm taking all my friends with me. Shame on you GM!!!
