SuperShuttle Complaint - SuperShuttle LAX
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- As our ship was arriving in San Pedro, CA, I called SuperShuttle to reserve transportation at 8:30 AM from the pier to LA Airport, and paid in advance with a credit card to insure my timely arrival at LAX. While awaiting vans were loading people, we approached the SuperShuttle attendant and was told the vans were already filled, and we would have to call another van, which would take at least one-half hour to arrive. Afraid we would miss our flight, we told the attendant we wanted to cancel our reservation and would take alternate transportation to the airport. They are now refusing to give us a refund and even worse, are insisting we requested a van at 1:00 PM rather than 8:30 AM (yea, for a noon flight). I'm sure they mixed up our pick-up time with another caller. They claim it will take 10 days to do an "investigation" into my claim. I am totally disgusted with this company and would advise any traveller to run as fast as you can from any of these "Sh..tyShuttles!" I plan to contact the Attorney General's Office -- I was refused service at my requested time, and they have the nerve to charge me $37 for nothing.
