DirecTV Inc Complaint - Direct TV going to hell in a handbasket
Our services was disconnected the end of Oct, 2010 my husband was laid off his job, I was in the process of paying past due bill of 214.00 and having services turned back on mid November 2010, which is why I didn't return the receivers and plus the contract would be over in Jan, 2011. Around the time I was going to pay the past due bill they drafted my bank account in the amount of 425.00$. first of all the direct TV account is in my husbands name, my name is nowhere on this account second of all my bank is account is just that, MINE of which my husband is not an authorize user on but because in the past I have used my account to pay the bill, they took it upon themselves to save my financial account information. Over the last two weeks, I have explained my situation to 40 or so different customer service reps and spent numerous amount of hours on the phone, everyone had something different to say and of course great options at that time but never followed through. Ending results made me send back the receivers in order to get my refund of 200.00, I still wanted to continue services to keep from paying the early cancellation fee, because I refused to give them anymore of our money, so of course they told me either they could keep my 200.00 and apply it towards two months of service and reinstate services, or refund my 200.00 and deduct the 60.00 cancellation fee and the last solutions was to charge us 200.00 to lease receivers again to have services, overall they don't want to refund my 200.00$. I would not wish this on my worst enemy and will never do business with them again.
