Wayne Vetter lawn service Complaint - Wayne Vetter not providing paid-for services

Review by murraysmom on 2005-03-22
CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA -- This man was hired by us in Cape Coral, FL to mow our lawn once a week. Occasionally, during the dryer winter months, he would skip a week; although we still had to pay a full monthly fee, we never complained, since there are times when the grass grows so slowly that it did not present a problem. However, this past December, he skipped a week, came the next week, and instead of mowing, simply lopped a few fronds off a palm tree that didn't need trimming--and that we had never asked him to trim. When we called him to tell him that the lawn really DID need mowing that week, he rudely told us that it did not, and tried to make us believe that it would damage the lawn if it were cut. Since I know that lawn damage from mowing occurs only if it is cut too short (which you avoid by setting the blades at the proper height) or by allowing it to grow too long and cutting off too much at one time (which you avoid by cutting it when it is needed), he is either incompetent to do the work he is doing, or he thinks his customers know nothing about it. In either case, I would definitely advise not doing business with this man.
