Sears Complaint - Ridiculous policies and bad service
When my dishwasher was delivered, the installer (who was very professional) pointed out some minor damage to the machine. I immediately called customer service to report this. Rather than give me a credit for the amount of the installation, they said that they would order a replacement. This seemed like a ridiculous policy to me, as it would require another day set aside for the removal of the now used dishwasher and the installation of the new (hopefully not damaged) machine. After several emails, phone calls (the last requiring over 40 minutes, talking to 3 different people) they agreed to give me a credit for less than the installation cost, but slightly more than the 10% offered the first day. The last person I spoke to left me hanging on the phone for a very long time. This is inconsiderate, bordering on rude. I finally hung up. This is not good customer service, and I will read reviews in future before buying an appliance or anything else from Sears.
