Ray Catena Mercedes Benz Complaint - Ray Catena Mercedes Benz ripped me off!
EDISON, NEW JERSEY -- I purchased a 2008 Mercedes Benz E63 "sight unseen" from Ray Catena. I was told by the Sales Manager that this car was perfect as it only had 4500 miles. Unfortunately I believed him and wired the money assuming that he was telling the truth.
When I received the vehicle it was discovered this vehicle was far from perfect. One of the wheels was bent and was obviously done from hitting a curb at high speed. There was a key scratch in one of the rear doors and the front bumper had obvious damage and scuff age. The most expensive part was the delamination of the carbon fiber rear spoiler which is very expensive to fix.
I brought this up to the sales manager and he told me it must have been shipping damage. I forwarded the shipping slip with the inspection performed prior to loading. The transporter clearly marked off all these items and more before loading which is solid evidence that the damage existed.
The sales manager told me it was my problem and I got a good deal and to deal with it. Well Gary, I mentioned that telling me to F off may be the more expensive mistake you've made and I hope the general public considers this letter before purchasing a vehicle from you and your Ray Catena store. If you worked for me, you would be collecting unemployment.
