Tree Classics Complaint - Extremely poor customer service and poor product in this instance
Resolution Update on 12/15/2010:
Well, after posting here, I got a call from the distributor, Tree Classics. Linda (ext119) was most helpful and sent a new top next day delivery. After all the upset, they finally made it right. Hope the tree lights work next year though.
LAKE BARRINGTON,, ILLINOIS -- I purchased a pricey $320 artificial tree this year from Tree Classics. I have seen them for years in the Country Living magazine and finally broke down to spent my hard earned money. The confirmation email and shipment were very prompt. Ordered Nov. 03,2010 and received Nov. 08, 2010.
I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed as I don't believe the advertised number of lights are on this tree. Now I am super disappointed as one section of the tree does not light at all and I get nothing from customer service. I have emailed four times, called twice and get a looping answering machine, and sent pictures of the lights working on the undecorated tree and now the section that is out on my decorated tree.
What a disappointment. I even wrote the tree's manufacturer and was told to go through the distributor. I will now write Country Living and tell them what kind of people and products are advertising in their fine magazine.
