Animal Medical Center Compliment - Wonderful veterinarians!

Review by murraysmom on 2005-03-22
TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN -- I can't say enough good things about the doctors here (Tom Mertaugh and Diana Radditz). I recently had a problem getting insulin for my diabetic cat while out of state, and Dr. Tom took care of shipping it to me by overnight delivery. Both doctors have given my pets the best treatment, saved the lives of several of them, and eased my grief at the loss of a few that couldn't be saved. I hope they never retire!

Your vet has insulin in his frig.

I guess just not as cheap price as 1-800-PetMeds.

Most of what I have to say about the above comments are included in what I added to the comments about my post on 1-800-PetMeds. Except for the fact that my vet often doesn't have the insulin in his office. He sometimes has to order it, but I got lucky this time, and he had some he was able to ship me. And 1-800-PetMeds was cheaper by exactly $1.00...until you add on the overnight shipping required for medicines that need to be kept refrigerated, as insulin does.

Older cats and dogs usually develop diabetes and need it. Really qualified vets have supplies on hand. So I would not recommend a vet that does not carry insulin especially for an emergency.

so TXRoadTrip what is a "really qualified vet"??? That's the funniest thing I ever heard. Murraysmom that's great that your vet was so helpful. Those are the ones to keep around.
