LG Complaint - LG SERVICE - LG Washer

When my LG washer would not spin and drain the water, Husband and I followed the directions pertaining to the error code. Still did not work. I called the warranty company - our washer was 1 year and 5 days old when it broke. Warranty was not bought at time of purchase but bought when warranty was expiring. The certificate states 24 hour service - a joke. A person takes your call, gets information then tells you a repair service will call back in 2 business days! The repair service calls, then tells you that first available service is in a week.

Repairman comes tells you a part is needed then another 2 weeks and 2 days before an appointment is available to install. No way should an appliance be out of service for 3 plus weeks. I called LG - no care or concern - only took my complaint. There is only ONE repair service that covers a very large area - just one. I was told that I could find my own, pay, out of pocket, then submit for a possible reimbursement.

The service was rude - told me that no where in the contract was a length of time given for service. This repair time is extremely long!

This is a typical scenario and sums up the appliance industry as it exists today.
