Target Complaint - Negligent Management
OREM, UTAH -- My wife and me waited for an hour in the cold for target to open. When it did we went in as soon as we could. There was a certain door bust item we wanted. When we finally made it in the store the door buster item we wanted was all gone. This is fine under normal circumstances. The problem with this situation was that two customers had taken 9 of the door buster items that we wanted. One of them had 4 40" TVs on one cart and the other had 5 TVs on his cart. The item we wanted and the had was supposed to be one per customer. We told the managers multiple times that there were two people buying more than one TV per customer. The managers tried to act like they cared but it was pretty clear that they did not. The managers said that they confirmed there were 30 people with them but there were not 30 people around them. Then the party count changed to 5 and 4 respectively. we asked the manager if they would go to the checkout line and verify that all the credit/debt cards that were used were from separate individuals and that each card had a separate signature. The managers said they would not. The managers said they can't verify every door buster item was purchased by a separate individual. You and I could figure that out on our own. The managers should have just watched for the big ticket items. I don't think people will mind if someone buys 3 crock pots. The only reason I can think of why the managers would do that is because some of those TVs were for the managers or the just didn't want to confront the customers that had more than one TV. So in conclusion. Instead of trying to please 7-9 or more customers the pleased 2 and lost 2 or more customers because me and my wife who used to frequent purchase at Target will never shop there again! I cannot speak for the other customers that went there for one of those TVs and did not get one, but if I were them well you already know what I would do if I were them. Next time I want to go there with video cameras and expose the neglect of the Managers and greedy customers that ruin the spirit of the holidays, but the managers will either change their tune when the cameras are rolling or they will kick me out. I am not sure what the laws are on video recording in a store.
