Total Protect Home Warranty Informative - Very Satisfactory Service - Refrigerator Replaced under warranty

Refrigerator Replaced under warranty
Review by sheriffjim on 2010-12-08
I have read the complaints in regard to this service, and have to say that my experience with these people was not at all unpleasant. My refrigerator kunked out and I filed a claim. They sent an agent who looked at the refrigerator and recorded the information as to the problem and particulars of the unit, and I paid him seventy dollars. He contacted the warranty people and they called me on the phone. They offered to replace the refrigerator with a current model and make of similar quality or to pay me $1,100.00 and allow me to purchase a refrigerator of my choice locally. I opted to accept the payment and purchased a new frige locally. All I had to do to receive the check is to fax the invoice indicating that I had paid the agent $70.00.

It almost sounds unbelievable. Did you receive the check?

How much do you have to pay for this coverage? Glad it worked for you.

In regard to the iquiries in regard to my Total Protect Home Warranty. Yes, I did receive the check, the coverage was obtained through my Mortgage carrier and added thirty-seven dollars a month to my mortgage payment. When I made the claim the people at Total Protect noted that it was the first claim in two years and informed me that I could use the protection for more minor repairs as well and suggested that I do so.

It's great to hear a success story for a change. I'm very happy for you that this is working out.

It did work out and I would be lying if I said that it did not. Of course I had to jump through some minor hoops, but isn't that the way it works with all of these insurance services? I have a new frige, and a recovery of most of my premiums that's what counts.

I agree, sheriffjim. Even with some hoops, you made out well.
