Target Complaint - Do Not Order from Target.com- Unreliable Shipping and Delivery
I ordered an iTouch for my child on Nov 24th and was quoted an estimated delivery date of 12/2-12/7. On 12/1, I receive an e-mail from Target stating that there has been a delay on my order and they require my approval to delay the shipment or I can cancel it. I looked on-line to see what kind of delay they meant and it indicated that estimated delivery would be beginning of January, 2011. I called and talked to a customer representative and explained that I had ordered this for a Christmas present and could not wait until January. The customer representative said she would look into this to see why there was a delay. She came back stating that there was an error on their part with the pricing and that was the reason for the delay but she would take care of it and get the product out to me before Christmas. I told her that since it was a Target error, they should expedite the shipping on their dime. She said she would and estimated delivery would be 12/9-12/11. On 12/8, I get another e-mail from Target stating that there has been a delay on my order and they require my approval to delay the shipment or I can cancel it. I decided then that I would just cancel the order since I cannot rely on Target to deliver the product to me by Christmas. I clicked on the link in the e-mail to cancel it but received a message that it cannot be canceled. I then looked on-line to see what the status of the order was and it indicated that estimated delivery would be January 21, 2011. UNBELIEVABLE- I CANNOT CANCEL AND DELIVERY WOULD BE JAN 21. I am now on hold with the customer service representative and he is saying that they cannot cancel because the product is in shipment status- ready to be shipped. I asked him then why did I get an e-mail that there would be a delay and that the online status is showing est delivery of January 21, 2011. I asked to talk to a supervisor. He put me on hold for 20 minutes and said a supervisor was not available and I would have to call back. I asked him for the corporate address to write and complain and he hung up on me. BASED ON THIS EXPERIENCE, I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM TARGET. COM AGAIN. THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER. I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH TARGET.
