Priceline.com Complaint - Priceline vacation - vacation package misleading
Use caution when using Priceline for vacation packages. I recently used their site and purchased a package. I filled in the airports that I wanted to use for my package. The first item that comes up for you to choose is the hotel. I selected a hotel that was 5 minutes from my requested airport. Then it showed the airline and times. I admit that I assumed when I should have read. I assumed that they were giving me times for my requested airport, but they gave me flight times for an airport 1.5 hours away. I selected the time I wanted not realizing that they had changed my requested airport. The next day I was verifying information for the package I had purchased and realized what had happened. I called and asked them to switch the airport. They said they couldn't switch the package that I would have to rebook. I would still be charged for one day of a rental car and the trip protection, even though I wanted to use it for the package that I still wanted to book. They said no, so I took the penalty and used Travelocity. I feel this was very deceptive of Priceline. They told me that the intentionally do this to be able to quote the lowest price, even though it's not where you want to go.
