Borders Books Informative - Borders Books Price Match

Review by launchpadmech on 2010-12-11
HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND -- I purchased a Kobo and 6days later went back with sister to purchase 3 more. I notice that it was on sale 10.00 cheaper. I asked for a price match and the manager said no, I was stuck with that price. What did I do wrong? The Internet said Borders just put in a new price match, why didn't they honor this and can a company like this be trusted?

My sister said she will not buy from stores like that. We left with no KOBO and she said to take my gift back and go elsewhere, but check the return polices first.

What reason did the manager give for not adhering to a policy you believe applied to your purchase? That is key to this complaint.

He should have said more than "You're stuck with that price."

Did you have the Kobo on you at the time, or were you asking for a price match without the receipt and product?

http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/money/consumer/dont_waste_your_money/borders-new-price-match-policy Here is an article about price matching at Borders. They will match the advertised price in another store with a printed advertisment from that store. they do not match internet pricing and it is not a price guarantee.
