MTD Complaint - Made with parts from china

Review by littlecatcasper on 2010-12-12
CLEVELAND, OHIO -- 2 stroke snow blower hard starting and belt slips bad and don't throw snow. Now I know why my friends told me to spend a little more and buy a Toro. Working on it I see a lot of the parts are made in china.

You are going to see more and more things made in China. It's a fact. Their economy is booming.

I have an investment in Chinese stocks, and it has done incredibly well.

It could be the design is poor, or it may just need tuning and adjustment.

Toro products have parts from Asia as well. Overseas parts are included to keep costs down and improve margin, although this is rarely disclosed. Only the final assembly location must be disclosed in most areas. "Made in the USA with Chinese parts."

Tighten or replace the belt. Here is a link with some great advice on how to maintain and get the most out of your snowblower.
