Dish Network Complaint - Worst Company Ever. Never Use Them
Overall, Dish Network is HORRIBLE. I would really avoid them like a plague. Here is the reason:
1. Sales: The sales guy lied to us about several channels on the list even though we did research online and told him their website says otherwise. He told us that Dish will work with Windows Media Center and several other lies to sell us the product. We were skeptic and just did a month-to-month paying more.
2. Installation: We waited half a day on a weekend and no one showed up on the day of installation. Then we called and a guy showed up who was a contractor and he said he forgot to bring his ladder. He had to send someone else. I don't understand why he bothered to come if he didn't have a ladder. He was disoriented and really confused in general. THen another guy came around 2pm and he did not know what he was doing. He left our house at 11pm - YES 9 hours to install BUT he couldn't get it done. He drilled holes in the wrong places and tried to mess with so many things around the house but could not get it working. HE said he had never installed this dish before and he was trying to get it working by trial and error. He also confirmed that we could NOT integrate with our computer which is what we had clarified with the sales guy that we can do before we chose DISH.
3. Customer Service: This is the worst part. It was so frustrating to get this set up and so we called customer service who did not even apologize and said they couldn't do much. It is contractors that have to install. THey said that the sales guy lied to us about the computer integration. If we cancelled now, that we couldn't get our money back. But to get to this point we had to talk to about 4 people and were on hold for over 4 HOURS. THis is a true statement. WE WERE ON HOLD for upto an hour each time. Once we were waiting for a supervisor for about an hour and then got disconnected. Then we got a voicemail after holding for an hour. Last time, we got transferred between 4 or 5 reps and between departments. THe last guy had us waiting as he could look at our records for an hour. FInally they said that they could not even waive the fees as those are standard fees. If we needed more help, we will need to contact their corporate office by writing a piece of mail. He said that they might respond by 90 days.
DISH SUCKS OVERALL. THe above experience shows that they do not care about their customer. Even if other companies are a bit more expensive go with them!
