We were the first time in Florida and rented a car from Budget Rent-A-Car. After our vacation time we paid the bill and flew home.
Ten days later I found a charge on my credit card statement from Budget-Rent-A-Car e. tolls. I've never heard about this company. So I disputed with Budget to get my money back because every toll I went through, I paid in cash; nobody told me about an activated electronic device in the rented car that is able to collect data when I came through toll entries. Therefore I chose every time a cash only entry. But no one at Budget Customer Care was able or was willing to help me.
It isn't about the amount, it was not that high. But Budget did not ask for permission to give my whole data to a third party -in my opinion is this illegal- nor had they my acquiescence nor did they inform me about that activated device.
Now I'm disputing with my credit card company. I think they are a little bit stronger than me arguing with Budget. Renting a car with Budget was my biggest mistake I ever made and, never again, I will rent a car with Budget. Never ever.
