Bambino's Informative - A Nice Dining Experience: In MA, not IL (Oops!)
MALDEN, MA, ILLINOIS -- Bambino's Restaurant
7 Highland Avenue, Malden, MA 02148
This review is based on one experience I had their with my g/f. She has been their many times before this, and says that the service/food/decor we experienced is typical of this restaurant.
Decor: Located in a smallish mall, don't let this put you off. Bamino's is warm, inviting and intimate. Very clean.
Service: The waitstaff was very attentive without being pushy. Friendly service added to the overall dining experience.
Food: Main dishes ranged from $12.00 to $20.00 with a high-end seafood meal of lobster, shrimp, and other seafood at a whopping $36.00.
I had the veal/eggplant parm. with ziti, ($14.00). My g/f had the eggplant parm with ziti,($13.00). Both dishes were generous. The veal was tender and tasty, as was the eggplant. The sauce used on the ziti and parm was good without being overly spicy. A goodly amount of cheese on both dishes without overpowering the veal or eggplant.
Parking: Being in a mall, there is ample parking.
We didn't have room for dessert, but there were ample sellections on the menu.
We had a half bottle of chiante with our meal. Most wine is available by the glass, half-bottle, or full bottle. The wine sellection was good, if not extensive. There is a full bar on the premisice and a range of beers are available.
I had a cup of coffee after dinner, and found it quite good.
All in all I would reccomend Bambino's to anyone in the Malden area looking for a nice Italian dining experience.
