Shoes.com Complaint - Shoes.com - Poor Customer Service and Unethical Business Practice

I am telling this story to everyone that I can. I ordered $500 of shoes at shoes.com on 11/29. It is 12/14 and still have not shipped them. They have told me that they have had a computer issue in which they have no visability of orders between 11/25 and 11/29 (yet I received another order that I placed on 11/25 ok albeit a bit late). They charged me WAY before I actually received the product (which is inappropriate) and now when I ask for a refund of the money they refuse. They have lied to me on more than one occasion telling me that the product has been shipped, then that is hasn't (so clearly they are not sure). I have disputed this charge with my credit card but this is no small amount and I am very unhappy with the way that the company has handled this situation. I tried to call them and discuss it with them and they HUNG UP ON ME!!! I am an auditor and I know when someone is telling me lies and I know that shoes.com is lying big time. Don't waste your time at this company - go somewhere else...

This confuses me somewhat. Was the expectation that you be charged "after" you received the product?

I am sorry you are having difficulty with your order. I can think of about 8 or 9 purchases I've made with them and I did not have any problem - in case you are concerned about the site's legitimacy. They have a nice selection of Minnetonka moccasins and Carlos Santana shoes. (I wear the moccasins after spending time in the Santanas). Their orders usually take about 3 days to arrive so I think they may be telling the truth about a "system error". I am disappointed that you weren't refunded right away. I hope your credit card issues a prompt reversal. Please post back with your results. I may think twice about using them again if they don't make this right for you.

"They have lied to me on more than one occasion" yet you returned and did business with them. Now they refuse to refund your money so you dispute the charge on your C.C. A wise move. This should end here, you'll get your money back. You're still very unhappy and call back to discuss it with them. They hang-up on you. Why even bother and get emotional with these toads? You have already won. The C.C. company will refund your money that they refused to give to you. Be happy now and shop where your business is appreciated.
