JG Wentworth Complaint - Abusive Commerical - Commerical

Complaint
Review by Rincon on 2010-12-17
I contacted JG Wentworth 12/17/2010, requesting to talk to someone in their complaint department. A person identifying himself as Tim said I could voice my complaint t him.

I addressed their commercial with people screaming out their window about how they want their money now.

Tim the became extremely condescending stating that commercial had made them millions of dollars.
I asked to speak to a Supervisor or be transferred to a complaint department.
He raised his voice and asked me what I did for a living. I told him I was laid off.
He laughed and suggested I start writing commercials.

I again asked to speak to someone else about the abusive commercials. I was tired of hitting the mute bottom every-time the commercial aired.
He told me I could change the channel and hung up on me.

I was trying to watch FOX News.
FOX this is one of your sponsors?
Pathetic

I've seen these commercials. Annoying? Yes. Abusive? Not in my opinion..what makes them abusive?? Did they get your attention as desired? They sure did!

I'd rather watch those commercials than those ambulance chasing P.I. attorney ads or the tech/vocational school ones that they show every 5 minutes during the day.
Talk about pathetic!

Can they be any worse than HH Gregg?

I like the one in the bus when they all start singing opera better.
You know, I can't say I ever would consider actually calling a company to complaint because I don't particularly care for their commercials when there was nothing offensive or inappropriate about them.
I know, call me crazy.

They also have a very ANNOYING commercial, done in opera. Makes you want to scream!

The worst thing any business can do is laugh or be condescending to a customer, regardless of the complaint.

Customer also is defined as a purchaser of goods or services. Honestly, if the OP does not have a structured settlement, and in no way would be a candidate to do business with Wentworth, then I believe they have no valid reason bogging down employees trying to do their job with critiques on their advertising choices.

"IT'S *MY* MONEY AND I WANT IT NOW!" I love this commercial, and while the advice the CSR gave you was snarky, I laughed.

You don't sound like you are or will be a customer, so they probably aren't worried about shoeing you away.

My mother-in-law hit the Arizona Lottery in 1988, and immediately, J.G. Wentworth began a campaign of telephonic harassment, calling almost every day, wanting Ma to sign up with them. She won a million dollars paid over twenty years, and they wanted her to sign her lottery winnings over to them for half of that amount. The commercials, at least, are cute.

did you expect them to pull the commercial because YOU disliked it?

O_o

I have to agree with the JG Wentworth employee. It's not their fault you're incapable of using a remote control. Take responsibility for yourself and change the channel or turn the tv off completely.

Re Complaint agout JG Wentworth on Fox ~ well I am on CNN or HLN and there they are screaming from windows and I rarely can get to remote in time to mute or change channels. What can we do!??
