Magnavox Complaint - Very rude, evasive and unprofessional customer representative - DVD player Model MBP5120F

I contacted the customer service department at about 3:25 PM PST regarding my DVD player. A representative identified as CORA an with number 7358 was so rude as to talk over me each time I speak. She just went on and on without listening to my questions. She thinks all people who contact their office have the same situations and thus would just be dismissive of the actual questions. I cautioned her to LISTEN but would not shut up. She just said there is nothing she could do since I do not have my remote for my TV and just wanted to end the call right then and there. When I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, she said there is none, which is a lie, then told me if I can hold, whereupon I asked for her supervisor or any supervisor. Evasive as she is, she managed if I would like to like their website address. When I told her she is not answering my questions and continued to talk over me she hung up on me.

It is a good thing I written down her name and Id number and I am forwarding this complaint also directly to upper management.

The product may be good but the customer service at Magnavox, or now I see in the manual is also Funai, definitely sucks to bottom hell.

Sometimes I wonder why some companies even bother having a custonmer service call center at all. I mean if they are just going to talk over you and deny you any help, then why even HAVE a customer service line???
