Conn's Appliances Complaint - Unprofessional - Dishwasher
BEAUMONT, TEXAS -- My mom bought a dishwasher from Conn's a few years ago and has never been really happy with it, but she thought maybe it was just the brand or the fact that it was not very expensive. Finally in December of 2010, she had to call out a repair man because the dishwasher just would not run. It turns out it had not been properly installed. The person from CONN'S did not connect all of the wires that he should have. He also did not level the machine properly which is why she has always had such a hard time opening and closing the door. The repairman that came out to look at the dishwasher (NOT from Conn's) told us that his nephew works for Conn's and that he is required to make 16 house calls per day and to tell each customer that whatever item they are having problems with is not worth fixing and should just be replaced. My mom is lucky that this repair only cost her $75 because from the reviews I have read, it has cost a lot of people a lot more than that!
I also happen to know they are terrible to their employees and never keep any promises. They laid my cousin off one day and then called him a few hours later, asking him to come back to work.
