TiVo Complaint - Tivo's Christmas Rip off for Existing Tivo LifeTime customers - Tivo Premiere XL
Tivo Premiere XL - Complaint
After purchasing a Tivo Premiere XL from Best Buy and attempting to activate it with a Lifetime subscription (like the rest of my Tivo's -- yes several all ready), I am told that as of November 14, 2010 Tivo set a policy that unless you buy your Tivo Premiere directoy from Tivo you cannot have a Life Time Subsription! Who knew. Who put that on the advertising with Best Buy or any other retailer. Okay TIVO, I'm taking the product back. And you lose for ever. I'll purchase another product and run my existing subcriptions forever.

So, lemme see...being a Tivo user, I'm sure you checked out the Tivo website BEFORE buying at BB...and you figured "Hey-I'll get a 2-fer: Cheap at BB, Lifetime at Tivo.
Now, if BB screwed up and put the wrong info in THEIR ad, then go after/blame Best Buy-NOT Tivo.
