MysteryShoppers @creativemarketing services Complaint - Mystery Shopper Scam

Review by ironmaiden on 2010-12-20
If you are contacted by a Gary Wimbrough alleging to be a manager for a mystery shopper company please be advised that it is a scam. I cannot work my regular job due to cancer but I thought the money I could earn from mystery shopping would help me keep afloat. I was sent a "cashier's check" with instructions to cash it at my bank and use the money to evaluate the local western union. I sent the money as directed but then discovered that the cashier check bounced and now I have to pay it back. I do not have the money but my bank stated that since they gave me the money I am responsible for paying it back regardless of the fact that I was scammed and do not have the money. Please be careful about mystery shoppers. I even checked the company on-line and it seemed to be a legetimate company. Don't get scammed like I did. Now not only do I have to pay back the bank but I will have no money for Christmas or to pay my mortgage.

If you're looking for a good secret shopping experience, try out MarketForce. I'm a secret shopper for them and they have not screwed me around at all. Don't expect a large amount of income, but you can make a few extra bucks here and there. I've been with them for a couple years now and have had zero problems or any hint of a scam. They direct-deposit into my checking account.
