Home Depot Complaint - Watch their credit card policy!
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS -- Just a word of caution to all of you loyal Home Depot customers (of which I was one until today). If you go to pay with your CC, you may be informed that there's a block on your card--for no explainable reason. This just happened to me at the Corpus Christi HD on Hwy 77...came time to pay for my purchase, which came to less than $100, and the cashier informs me there is a block on my card, which is an account that has ALWAYS been paid on time. She gets on the phone to credit, they even give her the runaround, then THEY HANG UP ON HER! All the while, my embarrasssment grows as does the line of customers. I call their "so-called" customer service upon returning home, who told me that in order to complete a transaction, two forms of ID were required, which would've been no problem had they asked, although that had never been an issue before. All in all, I told them to take their card and twirl on it as I cut it into as many pieces as practical.
Folks, we don't need to be treated like this by these cold, impersonal, corporate bloodsuckers, especially if our accounts are in good standing!
