Best Buy Complaint - Black Tie Warranty is a SCAM.
ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA -- I bought the Motorola H-17 bluetooth headset FOUR months ago and purchased the 'Black Tie Protection' plan. At the time of sale the salesman assured me that it covered the device for two full years against anything. Yesterday, the tiny button microphone simply fell off and I could no longer talk through it. I went back to the store, a nice employee tracked down my policy and everything seemed to be going well until she called for an authorization number from Geek Squad. They told her that bluetooth devices weren't covered for breakage. I didn't break the damned thing, the part just fell off, causing the microphone not to work! What the hell good is a warranty if the a-holes won't honor it!! Stay away from Best Buy, and if you still go, tell them to shove the 'Black Tie Protection' scam.
