Panasonic Complaint - Deceptive Instuctions and Poor Customer Assistance
The rather expensive Lumix I purchased came with no memory card. The instruction manualsaid, in large type, the card was optional. After hours of trying to get the camera to take and store a picture with no luck, I attempted to contact Panasonic's consumer assistance by phone and online. It took a while to get live humans, they were nice enough, but not too knowledgeable. Both took over an hour trying to answer my simple question: How do I get this camera, for which a memory card is optional according to its manual, to work without one? Both representativews assured me it would, then finally after walking through steps to reformat the camera with one person and several written exchanges with the other, both admitted it would not work without the "optional" and not included card.
The manual is deceptive and the assistance personnel not too bright. I hope tghe camera eventually works. It will be my last purchase from this company.
