Maytag Corporation Complaint - My experience with a Maytag dishwasher
I purchased a Legacy Quiteseries 300 dishwasher a few years back from a local Sears store. I never knew what a nightmare it was going to turn out. After a year or so the front panel went out. I called the company they sent out a service agent, about $120 later, it started working again. Fastforward another few months and the front panel became unresponsive again. This time I called the company and they agreed to send a replacement panel for no cost- that was the right thing to do as it was a faulty part. So we replaced this front panel again and all was fine for the next few months until same front panel died again. As I called Maytag this time they are demanding that I pay for the part (I think its more than a hundred dollars).
It appears to me that the front panel on this Maytag was badly designed to start with. And that they should have recalled it years ago. Now I am going to purchase a new dishwasher within 3 years of a Maytag purchase. I am sure dishwashers are supposed to last longer than that.
My 3cents = Do not buy Maytag
