Orbitz Complaint - Utterly Awful Service
The first time I used Orbitz, they screwed up; that is they charged my VISA for the airline ticket but didn't give me the airline ticket. It should've been easy enough to fix but their India call center manages to screw up even the simplest transactions: none of their representatives has the authority to do anything, they make promises they have no intention of keeping, and that's when you can actually understand what they're saying.
Finally, I was able to get a refund for the ticket that was never issued after a round robin of call transfers and being placed on hold in India. I was finally refunded the money and given a "voucher," that is a number for a dicounted ticket that their site wouldn't accept as payment. Since straightening this out would mean calling their call center staffed by India's least capable people I just threw up my hands and said screw it.
Then I had the opportunity to use Hotel Club, which is another Orbitz site. I had to cancel the hotel reservation and was put through to you guessed it, an India call center. Almost a month ago I was promised a full refund in 10 working days or less. Needless to say, it's been more than 10 working days, the people at the call center say that I should have been issued a refund, but can do little about it even though I have not been issued a refund.
I don't think I've seen a better example of bad attitude and complete stupidity in my life: avoid Orbitz and their useless India call center workers.
