Main Street Tower Restaurant Complaint - Gift Card Rip Off - Gift Cards

Review by estronski on 2010-12-31
BEL AIR, MARYLAND -- Gift Cards purchased from the Main Street Restaurant located in Bel Air, Maryland have a less than 4-year expiration date as required by the state of Maryland. A gift card valued at $50 that was activated in July of 2009 was refused and I was told it was expired when I tried using it to pay for lunch in December 2010. No explanation was given to us by the manager who contacted the owner of the restaurant and we had no choice other than to pay by credit card. The manager still had the nerve to wish us a "Happy New Year" as we were leaving.

The Credit Card Act of 2009 went into effect August 2009, after your card was purchased. Was the law in effect when you made the purchase also that you have 4 years?
