Best Buy Complaint - Best Buy Lost My Lens
MANKATO, MINNESOTA -- I took my Cannon SLR camera and 2 lenses into the store to have sent out to get cleaned. The cleanin was covered under my $140 warranty. I waited 1 hour and 50 minutes to just get them to send it off. First they said they didn't think both lenses were covered under warranty, but later said they were. I had 3 different people help me while they were helping 3 to 5 others all at the same time. A few weeks later, I received a phone call that I could pick the camera up. Since I am an hour away, I had a friend pick it up. I only received 1 of the 2 lenses back.
I immediately called the store. They checked and said it wasn't there. I called corporate and was on the phone for 2 hours and my phone went dead. I didn't want to do that again. I drove over to the store, where I had the worst customer service EVER! Manager just repeated they would NEVER do anything like loose a lens. He got called away and never came back to me. I waited 20 minutes in line @ customer service just to have the Geek Squad kid tell the customer BEHIND me he could help her next. I told him I was next and he said he had been informed that nobody should talk to me anymore. I found the manager to ask about this and my warranty and he told me my warranty probly wasn't any good anymore because of the incident @ the store that day! I was not rude to anyone. I did end up saying sh*t, but after paying $1200 for a camera and $140 for a warranty and dealing with this customer service I was pissed!
