New Egg Informative - Good Egg; Sunny-Side-Up

Review by virginiasoreback on 2005-04-01
CINCINNATI, OH, CALIFORNIA -- In October, 2002, in addition to a few other items, I purchased an HP Deskjet 6122 (Duplex/double side) printer from Office Max for about $200.00 (best deal I could find at the time). For some reason, recently, it started to print erratically. I like the "6122" so I shopped for another. The prices ranged from about $128.99 (Refurbished) to $215.04 (from Data Bazaar) (free shipping; though).

I found "a deal" at Computers4Less; $135.00 plus $13.11 shipping; $148.11.

I didn't hear from "C4Less; and I didn’t receive the printer." After almost 2 weeks I e-mailed (no response); I called. I found that they no longer stocked the "6122;" except "Refurbs" and "out of box" returns. The "Principal-in-Charge" was friendly but negligent; "good bye!"

The next “Best Deal” I could find was offered by New Egg (newegg.com); $165.00 ( plus 99¢ shipping); $166.49.

Ordered on March 30; shipped from La Puente, California and received in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 1 ("no fooling"); that's a "jet-in-a-hurry;" just in time to print forms from the "beloved" IRS.

Until I'm convinced otherwise - "newegg.com" is a "Good Egg;" "Sunny-side-Up!"

You asked: "Who the heck remembers the month & year that they purchased a ... printer?..."

If you can rub just two cerebral cortex neurons together to generate the most modest cognitive spark you would be informed that you don't have to be an "... savant" to manage that task. Or do, as I sometimes do: create a purchase reference file for the toys that I deem worthy of memorization; "owner's call!
