TRENDnet.com Compliment - Great Product N Service

Review by Johnny on 2011-01-03
TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA -- My D-Link required a password reset and I called the customer service for help. They would not talk to me unless I provided them a credit card number for them to charge me for the help. Instead I went to Costco and bought a Trendnet TEW 652BRP. It has 12x the speed and 4X the coverage of the D-Link. They offered a 3 year warranty and 24/7 hassle free customer service. I paid only $29.95 and not being a geek I tried the no hassle customer service to set it up. Well the wait time was a couple of minutes and I was up and running in 5 minutes. Imagine for $29.95 and it works much better than the D-Link I had paid a $100.00 for. They also followed up with a e-mail to see if the service was satisfactory.

Cool. There's seldom any reason to pay for phone technical support for any product. If it's under warranty, it should be fixed free. If it's not, more than likely the phone people won't be able to fix it either (also a password reset is easy and you should have been able to do that yourself).

Having been in customer support for 35 years, I applaud the OP for getting the job done.

and to be honest you probably could have gotten the same reset info from google for free

assuming of course you could get online to get it.

The unit was from 2006 and the info was not available anymore on the D-Link site. That's why I called them.
