An insured of Progressive's got in an auto accident with me. She admitted fault, and Progressive offered to fix my car. I was told if I drop my car off at the mechanic on the Monday after Christmas, chances are the inspector would not show up until Tues. I said I would rather wait until the next Monday to ensure that I wouldn't have to leave my car for two days. An appointment. was made for 1/3/11 between the hours of 11-2. No one showed up. The response from the supervisor was that the inspector has 48 hours from the time the appointment was set to complete the task. Huh?! Why have a time window? Why wait a week to get a time window? I'm the victim, and I'm the one getting jerked around and inconvenienced. I feel sorry for anyone that gets stuck dealing with these people!
