Federal Express Corporation Complaint - Beware of Delivery Men

Complaint
Review by LetitGoShopper on 2011-01-03
On November 27 I ordered a phone that was to be delivered on December 1. Well December 1 came and went and I was yet to see a phone, so I called the phone company and they said that the phone was shipped and according to the tracking number was left on my door step because a signature was not required on December 1 at 2:11pm. SO I called Fed Ex and they told me the exact same thing that the phone was left on the door step yada yada yada. Well as I recall on December 1 at 2:11pm I was sitting in front of the window untangling Christmas Lights and putting up the tree and not once did I see or hear a Fed Ex druck nor did anyone knock on my door with a package. So I called Fed Ex back and they said that they would contact the center that it would have been delivered from and get some info on where my package was even though they said it was delivered and call me back. Two days passed and no call back so I called them once again and this time they told me there was nothing they could do and that the phone was probably stolen after the delivery man left it and to call the phone company company and make a claim with them. After explaining to them that there was no way my phone was stolen because it was never delivered.

At that point there was no doubt in my mind that the person who was suppose to deliver my phone stole it or knows what happened to it, because after a couple days going back and forth with the phone company they told me the phone had been activated and was being used. Boy was I mad. So after a month of investigation I finally got a replacement phone that surprise was not left on the door step and I really wasn't home that time.

I couldn't tell what happened with the replacement phone delivery at the end, but it sounds like the first one was indeed stolen. But is there proof that the delivery man was involved in the theft? If a signature was not required, it is possible the driver did not knock.

I dont have solid proof the delivery man was involved but why on earth would they not knock on the door but then say that delivery was attempted but left on door step. And with the replacement phone a doortag was left on the door that time even though a signature was still not required thats why i believe the deliveryman was involved in some way.
