ATT U-VERSE - DON'T GET IT! Complaint - ATT - Uverse, don't get it!

Got the AT&T U-Verse package about 1 1/2 years ago mainly for the price. Problems from the start. For starters, the HDMI cable would not work from their box to the TV with no explanation why. Even brought in another HDMI cable to no avail. Tried the cables on another TV with a different box.....nada. Then, I would have to reboot my internet at least twice a week. FINALLY, day of reckoning came and I was able to drop AT&T for their competitor. Trying to drop AT&T is like trying to tell the Pope he's not Catholic. AT&T sat on the paperwork to switch our phone over and once the problem was escalated by our new provider's Management to ATT's Management, it got done within an hour. When we called to "officially" cancel ATT, they refused to do it saying the phone was showing as "pending" in their system and until it's completed, we cannot cancel, oh and by the way, we will be charged daily. Hung up the phone in frustration and called back and spoke to someone else, who cancelled it on the spot. When I asked him why he told me one thing and the girl said something different, he said "I don't know". They suck!!!! Their customer service sucks!!!
