Sears Informative - Sear Credit Card employee incompetence
I have owned a Sears Mastercard for over 20 years and not had any trouble at all until December 2010. I use the card for ordering items only because the security code is required and that card is the only one with a legible code. In December 2010 I was notified by Sears that someone tried to use by account password. I told the employee that I never had a password and that I never applied for one.
This went over their head like a jet plane. Needless to say I cannot use this credit card. They said they would correct this and get me a new card in 10 days. This never happened.
