Sears Complaint - Delivery fiasco - Sole treadmill
I recently ordered a treadmill from Sears' website. 5 nights later, I received automated call to confirm delivery day. Received call from deliveryman @ 0830 next morning. I was told that they would arrive between 1:15 and 3:15P. They asked where I wanted delivered. I told them, my basement. The delivery guy said it was too heavy, and they were not allowed to deliver anywhere other than main floor, d/t insurance restrictions. (Gee, hope no one in 2nd story apt. or basement apt. need 1) I thanked him for telling me 5h before delivery. Afterword, I called customer service. They called shipping manager(Sears, not sub), then called me back to tell me it would be delivered wherever I wanted it. Next an unlisted # called, a lady claiming to be from shipping, clarifying where I wanted to have it placed. When I told her, she asked me to tell the delivery guy when he arrives. I tried to explain the situation, and how that may not be helpful, but with disinterest she hung up on me. Wanna guess what happened next? Sure enough, @ 0530, the finally arrive. They asked where I wanted it. I told them the basement. They refused. I sent them packing, and immediately call CS to get a refund.
