McDonald's Corporation Compliment - Have it your way? Well, eventually.
I ate lunch with my wife today at McDonald's. We parked and ate inside the lobby. I ordered two double cheeseburgers from the dollar menu. She ordered a Big Mac and we shared a small order of chicken nuggets. My double cheeseburgers looked like the Incredible Hulk got angry and decided to take out his frustration on my lunch. They were both literally squished together, nearly in a ball.
I could understand if they had been served in a drive-thru bag and possibly got squished at the bottom of the bag, but they were served that way on a tray. They were relatively slow, a blessing from Heaven considering it was lunch hour. So I decided to take them to the counter. I gave the manager a chance to correct it, and to his credit, he made fresh ones that actually looked like the pictures on the display menu. We enjoyed the remainder of our lunch.
I suppose the moral is that everyone makes mistakes, and that we consumers shouldn't take them to task on every single error. Instead, give them a chance to correct the problem. Then, and only then, if they refuse to remedy the situation should we label it a "complaint".
