Harris Teeter Compliment - Selling Expired Food Items!
WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA -- Too many occasions have occurred when I purchased perishable food items only to get home and discover they were sold after or the day of the expiration date. This is no coincidence as I pade a purchase this evening. I bought clam chowder ready to heat and serve from the seafood dept. When I removed the package, the expiration date was a week old. This is ridiculous that Harris teeter is trying to pass off dated goods for profit...To add insult to injury this items was even reduced for quick sale! Now hear this. I will never ever shop at this store again! This is not just about being stiffed with a stiff loaf, this could pose a health risk. I plan to contact my local health dept. Upon returning the item.
