LINGO Complaint - Lingo Sucks / Customer Service a Nightmare

I used Lingo for 5 years and finally dumped them this year, I didn't want to carry their baggage into the new year!

First of all, the customer service is a NIGHTMARE, they do not resolve your problem 60% of the time and they generally have no idea on what they are supposed to do. They are in the habit of passing you from customer service to tech support without any positive outcome.

The phone service is not reliable, some days, the line is dead for no reason. There was a time back in 2009 that my phone was dead for over a week until they sent a new adapter.

The taxes and charges are way too much, the amount of taxes that they tack on for "direct calls" to international cell phones in the UK is horrendous. You are better off using a phone card, you would think the amount per min is less but when you check the taxes sfor those calls, you will be dissappointed.

The calls are not clear, there is static on the line half the time and there are some international numbers that you call and you don't hear a thing after the person says hello.

The features they say are free are really not, they charge you for simultaneous calls, if you make your calls ring simultaneously in another country they would charge you for it.

For me what broke the camels back is the customer service, they are the worst. If you have a problem, a resolution from Lingo customer service is wishful thiking!



After 120 minutes on the line, Lingo automatically disconnects the phone!
