Sears Complaint - Do Not By Kenmore Elite
We purchased a Kenmore Elite Dishwasher from Sears in 2007 and to date we have had the unit repaired 3 times and we are currnelty waiting for the 4th repair technician to arrive to fix the unit. Each time it is the same issue the Motor dismounts which causes the unit to become inoperable and leak. To add insult to injury every time this problem occurs it takes 4 weeks to get the dishwasher fixed. The reason is due to the fact that when you call the service center to schedule an appointment the first available is always two weeks from the date you call and then when the technician from Sears arrives to fix the unit, he never has the right parts which results in an additional service call that takes an additional 2 weeks. So far we have owned the dishwasher for approximately 30 months of which the unit has been broken for 8 out of the 30 months. My suggestion to anyone buying a dishwasher is to stay away from Kenmore products and buy from a local retail shop and not from Sears.
One last note if you buy a product that breaks in the 1st 30 days most companies will replace it automatically unless you buy from Sears. If you buy form Sears it has break more than 4 times in one year before they will replace it.
