Bommarito Cadillac-St Peters MO Complaint - Terrible Service Department and Customer Service

Review by Still B on 2011-01-13
ST PETERS, MISSOURI -- I purchased an 2007 ESCALADE in 2010 w 38 k. It was my 2nd Cadillac within 18 months from Bommarito Cadillac. The 1st night I brought it home it would not start the next am. So I had to call roadside and get a jump. I should have gave them their car back but instead I gace it the benefit of doubt and have been taking it in for repair every month since. I recently called at 49108 w a battery issue and hard shift tranny. They were full, so they pushed it off a week. When I brought it in it had 50228 on odometer and needed a battery. I HAD TO PAY FOR IT!!! Since it rolled over 50k they said I was out of luck. Despite the fact that I called when it was under 50 and they MADE me wait a week before coming in. I WILL NEVER RETURN FOR ANOTHER PURCHASE AND WILL PERSUADE EVERYONE I KNOW TO AVOID BOMMARITO CADILLAC-ST PETERS MO!

Maybe they didn't believe you put 1100 miles on in a week, which translates to 57,000 miles a year?

A lot of companies hold to warranty deadlines, whether it be cars, tvs, or whatever. Would the battery have been covered if you were under 50,000 miles? Batteries sometimes aren't a covered item.

Did you really put 1100 miles on it in a week? I know it's very possible, but that is a lot.

Well it is a used vehicle OP, buyer beware. I drive over 130 + miles a day during the week, not counting any weekend driving.

momsey, That's not a lot for a road warrior. I usually do 4-800 myself.

If the OP is really putting 1100 miles on the car in an average week, he or she hasn't had the car very long.

That is a good observation on the miles. As u can see in the post that I bought it at 38k in Oct 2010 and now have 50k in Jan 2011. So that's 12 k in 3-4 months. I also failed to mention that I the Escalade was certified, therefore I have new car warranty till 100k /2013. Also the Nav/cd/dvd had to be replaced a month before I took it on for battery. So this could have been a contributing factor to the bad battery. Either way, iI should not have paid a penny! I paid $60, 000 for the vehicle.
