Millicorp, Inmate calling Complaint - Millicorp Sucks! - An inmate calling system that promises to bypass the "long distance" fees that I

Review by Beotch on 2011-01-14
I too was tired of getting ripped off from ICSOlutions so my man told me about this other service called Millicorp that would give you a deal and cut off those long distance charges that IC puts on. So I put 45 bucks on my credit card;after they checked to make sure that this service was gonna work where my man was incarcerated, and waited for him to call.

Nothing. Nothing but a recording telling us that this service was not available from this facility. That was nearly 5 months ago. I have contacted Millicorp more than ten times and in three different ways and they still will not return my money to my account. They admit it was their mistake. They assured me I would get my money back. And I have seen nor heard nothing from them since my initial contact.

You could try to do a charge back on your credit card, but after 60 days, they are not obligated to reverse the charge. Too much time has passed. Contact your states department of consumer affairs.

Thanks for warning others.

They misled you to get your payment. Correctional facilities, both public and private, enter into exclusive contracts with these calling companies. They receive a fair percentage of each dollar charged. You are, for all intents and purposes, left with no option but to use the service in place.

As Skye said I would certainly pursue this with the credit card company, the worst that can happen is that they say no.
