Priceline.com Complaint - Beware of Hotel Class Rating
I have used Priceline for many years and have generally done well. Recently, I bid on a four star room in NY and received a hotel that I had stayed in before. The hotel is, charitably, a 3 star hotel and rated as such by Expedia. Even worse, my bid was substantial and I could have done much better just reserving directly. I assumed that I would not have an issue as a long-time user calling and asking for the reservation to be changed or cancelled. I was very wrong. Priceline was immovable and I tried really hard - contacting multiple individuals. I was shocked by their attitude and policies. I will not use them again.
