Verizon Wireless Complaint - Absolute WORST customer service - Horrible Service Recovery
We moved to an area showing full coverage. Upon moving in, the signal was non-existent in the house and very spotty outside. I called and they told me they only guaranty coverage outside (which was fine because I had none there either). They confirmed it to be the case but stated they have no plans to upgrade coverage this year. Verizon did NOTHING to compensate me. I had to call three times to find out the status, as they simply closed it. To get any calls, I had to buy a Network Extender at FULL PRICE (what does their guaranty cover). Calls were still flaky and sending pics was impossible (even though it should have worked. Extender is voice only, NO data) Finally fed up and escalated since I wanted to increase my service to include data. All I wanted was to move my 2 year upgrade price up 3 months. They would not do. I contacted a vp an got a call back from Terry, an assistant to an executive in customer relations. Promises me a new smart phone. The rebate was "a mail in $100 rebate"...she would make it an instant rebate AND give me another $50 off to bring it to $99. I got home and looked it up, only to find the same phone on their website is $150 instant online savings, bringing it to the same $99 special I got for all of my hassles PLUS online, you got TWO phones....I was only getting one! I refused the package, called another wireless company and am cancelling as soon as my new phones arrive. It is worth the $160 to cancel their service. I will NEVER again even consider them to do business with and tell everybody who asks to use ANYBODY else. It is the most pathetic excuse for a customer service department that I have EVER dealt with!
