Abrusci's Complaint - Disappointing experience
WHEATRIDGE, COLORADO -- In November, my wife and I decided to try an Italian restaurant at which we had never dined. On their sign, they have the phrase "The BEST Italian food...Period". We had a great meal! The food was excellent, and the service was good! We left very pleased with our new discovery and couldn't wait to go back!
Fast forward 1 month. We had family in town and were very excited to share our new find with them! We called ahead for 5. When we walked in and mentioned that we had called ahead, the hostess acknowledged that she was expecting us. We were seated and given menus.
For the next 20 minutes we had waiters, the hostess, and other staff buzzing all around us. Apparently none of them were our waiter because we were completely ignored. Nobody took our drink order, or acknowledged us in any way. We finally left disappointed, hungry, and trying to think of someplace else to go.
So the story doesn't end there. I believe that this kind of thing can happen at even the best of businesses, and the measure of a company is in how they address them. The disappointing part is that I e-mailed Abrusci's to let them know of our experience within a few days. It has now been a couple of weeks and I have no response from anyone at Abrusci's about this. So, we were ignored at the restaurant, now our complaint about being ignored, is being ignored.
We were so disappointed with this experience, after telling our out-of-town guests what a great experience we had there previously.
